Go down to your platform. Check whether your train goes toward Ueno and Tokyo or toward Ikebukuro and Shinjuku.

  • Your Skyliner ticket covers Keisei only. The JR part is charged separately: an IC card is easiest.

Should I get off the Skyliner at Nippori or Ueno?

Nippori if you are changing to JR. The transfer gate is inside the station, while Keisei Ueno is a separate station a short walk from JR Ueno.

How long is the transfer from the Skyliner to the Yamanote Line at Nippori?

About 2–4 minutes, or about 5 minutes with large luggage.

The Skyliner's Tokyo stop

Most Skyliner passengers change at Nippori rather than Keisei Ueno: the JR–Keisei transfer gate is inside the station.

Use the transfer gate

Keisei has a North Gate, a South Gate and a JR transfer gate. Only the transfer gate leads straight to JR.

Allow for luggage

The walk itself takes 2–4 minutes. Allow about 5 minutes with large suitcases.
